“Water worn jewels from the sand! One of my favorite things to do is to collect the fabulous fragments of shells along the beach. They are beautiful miniature sculptures. By dramatically enlarging these forms and positioning them in an upright pose, attention is focused on their elegant sculptural qualities. These wonderful fragments are inspirational starting points for many of my sculptures and Shell Form No. 64 is a striking example.”
